2GHO was responsible for the design of the common area landscape, the master IQ landscape irrigation system, master plan and landscape design for New Haven
and several commercial sites. Cost of the firm’s design responsibility was 4.3 million dollars. The design included the development of a sustainable plant pallete for the project and the use of recycled water for the irrigation. The Abacoa DRI is a 2050 acre Traditional Neighborhood development consisting of 6073 Residential Dwelling Units; 1,085,400
s.f. of Retail; 1,754,000 s.f. of Research & Development, Industrial, Medical Office and Town Center; 510,700 s.f. of Professional Office; Florida Atlantic University Campus consisting of 4,900 students; Baseball Spring Training Facility for two professional teams; 528 acres of Open Space, Upland Preserve, and Lakes; a Public Golf Course; a Public School site, Civic Buildings & a Tri-Rail Station. The Abacoa Master Plan was prepared in 1994, approved in March of 1995, broke ground in April 1996, & is almost completely built out today.
